受験生と湯島天神（My Son’s Entrance Exams and a Visit to Yushima Tenjin）

受験生とは我が家の息子。中3です。

家で勉強している彼に代わり、湯島天神にお参りに行ってきました。新年の方が混むだろうな、今だったらそんなでもないかな、と思い行ったんですけど、思いっきり外しました😰

結構混雑していました。湯島天神っていつ来ても混んでるのかしら。年明けたら、いよいよ本番だし、「今のうち」と言う考えの人、多いのかしら。とにかくお守りと合格大福（豊禄庵）を買って帰りました。

境内ではKONICA C35で撮影したので、また後日。

うちから45分くらいのところにあります。電車に乗ってるのは15分程度ですけど。

梅が咲く頃にまた行きたい😆

さて帰りも自宅までの道中を撮影散歩しましたが、なんだかんだ言って、私、神社が好きなのね😊

The "student" in question is my son, who is currently in his third year of junior high.

Since he’s stuck at home studying, I headed to Yushima Tenjin to offer a prayer on his behalf. I figured it would be packed after New Year’s, so I thought I’d beat the rush by going now... but I totally miscalculated! 😰

It was actually quite crowded. I wonder if Yushima Tenjin is just busy year-round? Or maybe everyone else had the same idea—to visit "while they still can" before the exam season kicks into high gear next month. In any case, I picked up an amulet (omamori) and some "Gokaku Daifuku" (passing-grade rice cakes) from Horokuan and headed home.

I took some photos inside the shrine grounds with my Konica C35, so I’ll share those in a later post.

The shrine is about 45 minutes from our house—only about 15 minutes of that is actually on the train, though.

I’d love to visit again when the plum blossoms are in bloom! 😆

I spent the walk back home enjoying a "photo stroll" as well. I guess when all is said and done, I really do just love visiting shrines. 😊
