カメラアプリとLightroomのRAW現像（Camera Apps vs. Lightroom RAW Development）

みなさんは思ったことありませんか？

Lightroomでプリセットを当てても基本項目など写真によって微調整しないといけないのに、例えばDAZZカメラアプリで撮った場合はどんなシチュエーションでも簡単に同じテーマの写真が撮れちゃうのは何でだろう〜って。

Lightroomのプリセットでも写真ごとの微調整もオートに出来ないものかと。

微調整こそ自分の世界観を出せる最大の面白みではありますが、出来れば微調整は最小限にしたい。

アプリとLightroomのRAW現像についてGeminiに質問したら、丁寧な質問が返ってきましたがよく分からないんでまとめてくれた図を貼り付けます😰

私が求めているのは、違いを理解するではなく、アプリに近いことをLightroomで出来るか、ってこと。

で、Geminiから返ってきた答えは「自動+プリセット」💡

ただプリセットはカーブ、カラーミキサー、グレーディング、効果、ディテール、プロファイルのみで基本項目は保存しない。

早速既存のプリセットから基本項目を除いたプリセットを改めて作り、早速やってみました。

いずれも「自動+プリセット」というワークフローでそれ以外は調整していません。

①ピント面の立体感とハイライトの粘りと透明感を目指したプリセット

②重厚感のある色の乗りと透明感を目指したプリセット

微調整しなくても色が破綻するとか変な風にはなってないかな。「自動+プリセット」いけるかも‼️

When using Lightroom presets, we usually have to fine-tune the basic settings for every single photo. But with apps like Dazz Cam, you can get that consistent look instantly, no matter the situation. It made me think—why is that?

I started wondering if there was a way to automate those manual tweaks in Lightroom as well.

Of course, fine-tuning is where the real fun of expressing your world view lies, but ideally, I’d like to keep that effort to a minimum.

I actually asked Gemini about the difference between these apps and Lightroom RAW development. It gave me a very polite (but technical) response that flew right over my head, so I’ll just post the summary diagram here. 😰

The thing is, I’m not looking to "understand the difference"—I just want to know if I can achieve an app-like workflow in Lightroom.

The answer Gemini gave me was: "Auto + Preset." 💡

The trick is to use presets that only include the Tone Curve, Color Mixer, Color Grading, Effects, Detail, and Profile—leaving the "Basic" panel settings out of the preset.

I immediately went through my existing presets, removed the Basic settings, and re-saved them to try it out.

The following examples were edited using only the "Auto + Preset" workflow. No other manual adjustments were made.

1. A preset aimed at 3D pop on the focal plane, highlight retention, and clarity.

2. A preset aimed at deep, rich colors combined with transparency.

Even without manual tweaking, the colors didn't fall apart or look weird. I think "Auto + Preset" might actually be the way to go! ‼️
