The other day, I posted some sample photos from my KONICA C35 after getting the shutter fixed ([KONICA C35 Photo Samples]).
I knew from the start that the colors wouldn’t be "accurate" since I was using expired film. So, without thinking twice, I started retouching the photos as soon as they were developed. But then, it hit me: Is this really the right way to do it?
The more I fiddled with the settings, the more it felt like the photos were turning into something else entirely... something that wasn't what I originally captured.
I started to feel that if the results aren't too "bad," maybe I should just embrace them as they are.
The colors might look a bit strange, but isn't that a valid form of photography too?
So, I’ve decided to stop retouching my film photos from now on.
I’m just going to let them be.
Let it go, let it out...♪ (Just as I am!)
