うちの近所にはそれはそれはとても立派なお寺さんがございます。

歴史上の著名な人の縁があったり。

養行寺と言うお寺は静御前終焉の地としてこのお寺に供養塔が建てられているそうです。

埼玉の栗橋だったかな、静御前縁の地がありますね。

Rebounding from zero posts in August, here’s my second post of the day! 😆

​Right in my neighborhood stands a truly magnificent temple.

It has ties to prominent figures in history.  

​I learned that Yogyoji Temple is said to be the place where Lady Shizuka spent her final days, and a memorial tower was erected here in her honor.

​Saitama has connections to Lady Shizuka as well—Kurihashi, if I remember correctly.
