連休最終日（The Last Day of the Long Holiday）

本日連休最終日、皆さんはいかがお過ごしでしたか？

寒波で月曜の朝も刺すような寒さ、風も昨日ほどではないにしても、まだまだ強い。こんな日は布団にくるまって一日中ゴロゴロしたいところではありますが、太陽の光がベランダに入ってくる時間を見越し、7時半過ぎには洗濯、洗濯が終わって外干し完了したら、レッツ❗️フォトウォーキング🚶

今日はいつもと違うルートで小山市をフォトウォークしました❗️

違うルートを使って思川まで出ましたら、なんと浅間山が見えました。

毎日国道50号を使って西に向かっているので浅間山は、立体交差になっている部分で見ることはありましたが、まさか自分が住んでる場所から見られるとは思っていませんでした❗️

西に浅間山、南西に富士山、北に日光連山、東は筑波山、なんと立派な山々に囲まれているのでしょう❗️圧巻です😊

最後に強風で翻弄されたのでしょうか、アスファルトに縦に突き刺さっている落ち葉がありました。面白い被写体だったのでパシャリ📸

Today was the final day of the holiday break. How did you all spend your time?

With the cold wave hitting, Monday morning brought a piercing chill. The wind wasn't quite as fierce as yesterday, but it was still blowing strong. On a day like this, I really just wanted to stay curled up in my blankets all day. However, timing it for when the sunlight hits my balcony, I got the laundry started just after 7:30 AM. Once everything was hanging out to dry, it was time for a "Photo Walk"! 🚶

Today, I took a different route than usual through Oyama City.

Following this new path down to the Omoigawa River, I was surprised to see Mt. Asama in the distance!

I drive west on Route 50 every day, so I often catch glimpses of Mt. Asama from the overpasses, but I never imagined I could see it from right where I live.

Mt. Asama to the west, Mt. Fuji to the southwest, the Nikko Mountains to the north, and Mt. Tsukuba to the east... I realized just how surrounded we are by these magnificent peaks! It was truly a breathtaking sight. 😊

Finally, perhaps tossed about by the strong winds, I found a fallen leaf standing perfectly upright, "stabbed" into the asphalt. It was such an interesting subject that I had to snap a photo. 📸
